In the fall of 2021, I discovered pickleball while playing in the local sports hall, which quickly became an addiction.

On the night of February 25, 2022, everything changed with the news that my oldest had died in a traffic accident at only seventeen years old.

The loss of a child is terrible and only two days after the loss I stood on a pickleball court, my thoughts dispersed and for a little while there was a small glimmer of joy in the grief. 


To honor the memory of my son, named Rasmus, and to help lift the sport that has helped me through the grief, I chose to create the brand Raxs Pickleball as a nice memory and driving force when the grief is greatest.

Rasmus got his name from the Finnish rock group “The Rasmus” who, among other things, released the songs Shadow, No Fear and Guilty which are also the inspiration for the names of our racks. 


In 2024 Rasmus would turn twenty, which is celebrated through our rack Tribute 2.0

Our new model will be called Shot, which is also one of The Rasmus songs.

Rasmus never gave up on his dreams and I don’t intend to either.
